This is the last message for the students of Sapporo-No-Gakkou (present Hokkaido University) by Dr. William Smith Clark, the founder of Hokkaido University. (IDAH "Boukenn-Shika")
Interactive Dental Students Alliance for Health Care
They involved in cultural academic exchange events and have widened their International activities through this adventure.
Since 2005 UNESCO project( A total 17 member visited from Japan), IDAH have participated in the “Free Friday Clinic” to learn the actual problems in developing country.
Dental student of four Japanese universities
(Hokkaido University, Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, University of Tokushima, Nagasaki University) worked as volunteer teams.
In 2008, the trial camp just before the start of JICA Project was performed by these Dental Students with the help of Bangladesh team.
Many materials like the first of version of picture cards were also prepared since 2008.
( We have students and volunteer staff with illustration skills etc.)
In 2009 Summer, Preparation for the workshop at Dhaka, Dental Camp including seminar at the target site were accomplished by the students.
Our Project took off using two main thruster jet-engine, Japanese Dental student and Bangladesh Dentist.
From the Winter of 2009-2010, Bangladesh dental college students also jointly worked as volunteer team. They works with next project till now after becoming dentist!
The succession, diffusion, and new type of " Dental Camp" are in session now in many place by the Bangladesh dental college students and dentist.
