2) Aim and Purpose


The official objective of this JICA project is as following;

To enhance knowledge and awareness of oral health care among rural residents,
especially targeting primary school pupils in the target area as a start point of typical rural community in Bangladesh, aiming to establish model activities to improve oral health condition in the rural areas.

Through the project, Knowledge and Experiences on oral health care are mastered by Bangladesh school teachers under the Management/Planning of Bangladesh dentists.
 
It induces their activities on newly and self-supporting oral health care for school pupils and the Bangladeshe public.
 
The aims of our "Dental Camp Project",the core of this project, are also as followings;

A) To promote oral health care for school children in rural area by using efficient and effective oral health care instruction program.

B) To enhance their interest for health care and practicing proper daily habit, expecting the spillover effects on their parents, families and communities.

C) To train the school teachers as a oral health instructor with a limitation of financial and manpower resources in Bangladesh.

 

D) To promote their awareness towards many other hygienic behaviors(hand-wash etc.) and education.

E) To make a proposal for establishment / expansion of a school healthcare system based on the results of this project to Bangladesh.
